Empowering Student Travel.
Affordable. Educational. Inspirational.
Exposing students to the world.
The Young Explorers is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization focusing on providing travel opportunities to any student; regardless of income, ethnicity, nationality or any other barriers prohibiting travel.
Travel is made possible through grassroots fundraising, donors, sponsorships, and scholar responsibility. Scholars donate medical supplies, school supplies, and hard work to each destination visited.

Puerto Rico 2018.
It all began with an idea in 2017. An idea to lead students on an educational service trip. Hurricane Maria struck the island of Puerto Rico, causing millions of dollars in damage. The Young Explorers traveled to San Juan nine months after Hurricane Maria struck with school supplies and a determination to make a difference.
Ghana/Portugal 2020.
2019 commemorated the 400th year since the first slave ship crossed the Atlantic Ocean from the west coast of Africa to the state of Virginia. The Young Explorers retraced these steps starting in North Carolina, stopping in Lisbon, Portugal, and ending in Accra, Ghana. Check out our story here.
Egypt 2021.
The Young Explorers had an opportunity to visit Egypt during Spring Break 2021. The trip was an amazing look in the past and an opportunity for our students to experience the pyramids and all of the architectural wonders The Gift of the Nile has to offer. Check out our video highlights from the trip.
